WinterFest at Kings Island 2017 – My Thoughts

In this blog post, I will be sharing my thoughts on WinterFest at Kings Island 2017!

I got to visit WinterFest on December 30th, 2017, the last operating day of the event for the season!

A perk of this was that there were tons of deals around the park in shops! A downside was it was too cold for any rides to be operating and the outside activities were limited.

Later that night, I found out that WinterFest would be returning for 2018!

Since this is a My Thoughts article, I have some good thoughts and constructive criticism

First, I thought that the event was well planned out! I thought that the activities, shows, and the food were also very well planned out!

One thing I thought needed to be in the Planet Snoopy area is some Peanuts characters all dressed up but with a kick of Christmas to them! I think some craft activities and other things for young children was needed!

I did, however, love the tree lighting! I thought it was a great way to start the night at WinterFest!

The park definitely was different. Why? Well, when you walk on International Street at the beginning of the park where you walk in for WinterFest! But, the other areas of the park seemed like a ghost town.

There was definitely enough to do for a night at the park, which to me is why they only open it from 4-10 p.m. or 5-10 p.m. If they had a lot more to do, they could have it all day like Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Great Adventure or Christmas Candylane at Hersheypark!

I feel that the food was good but they needed a little bit more of variety! The shows were amazing and I felt that they did an OUTSTANDING, SUPERIOR job!

Overall, I feel that WinterFest really is a great holiday event and I am looking forward to visiting it again in 2018!
