Cedar Point announced that Steel Vengeance, Cedar Point’s new coaster, will have longer lines even from what they currently were at the beginning of the season.
Following the incident with the Blackjack and Digger trains collision, they will be repaired. Modifications will be made to the ride to ensure that it doesn’t occur again.
The newly implemented plan will make sure that the new modifications for the ride will ensure that it is safe and efficient to operate. This also means making the ride better to reduce the downtime and mechanical problems with the ride.
Since the other trains are being repaired, only one train (Chess) will be operating at this point. This will increase wait times significantly. It takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds to complete a cycle and also around 2 minutes to dispatch the ride.
That means 24 people will be sent to ride every 5 minutes. Normally it is 24 people every 2 minutes so around 48 people will be lost (2 cycles) for every 6 minutes.
Also, Fast Lane Plus will not be an option from Steel Vengeance until further notice. If you already purchased it, contact Cedar Point to receive a refund.
Boarding passes will be handed out on popular days and you will get it at the entrance of the park. Limited supplies available and it only guarantees access to the queue.
Likely it will be implemented on holidays and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays but don’t quote me on it as I am not sure and it wasn’t specified either.
