Honestly, when I first heard about this new entertainment park I wasn’t too thrilled.
I didn’t really look into everything that was going to be developed in the area outside of Delaware County, just outside of Columbus.
What I am going to discuss in this article is the basis of what development will come to the park and what I think the future will hold for it.
First off, this entertainment park is going to be HUGE. It will be 350 acres. That is absolutely crazy. For an entertainment park to be that big, that tells you planning is undergoing for something big.
It is called Planet Oasis which to me has a weird sound to it. Not a huge fan of the name, but if the park is good then why care.
The goal of this park is pretty simple: Use marketing and strategies to attract guests to research more about the park and be interested in it.
Because in Ohio, people like to do tons of things. The waterpark, amusement park, and other specialty attractions.
I think that eventually more investment than the current 2 million dollar price tag will be put into the park.
What do I think the goal of the park is? To provide a different experience than Cedar Point and Kings Island (plus Stickers Grove – but that’s not tough competition).
The experience will be likely to attract a different population – and a higher population than Cedar Point and Kings Island. Columbus is nearly in the middle of both of them.
I do not think that this will out-do Cedar Point unless major amusement park attractions are to be added. Even with a 20-acre lake being built at this place, there are two strong arguments against it.
First of all, it isn’t a natural lake. It will just be dug into the ground which is fine and all. Secondly, it also will have artificial sand. These two things combined don’t make it an “ideal” atmosphere.
According to ClevelandScene, accommodations and opportunities of fun will be available for one price.
Similar to Kalahari Waterpark in Sandusky. You can pay one price to enjoy all of the accommodations.
I think it will be interesting to see how it does. The first “phase” of the project will be complete in 2019 and I’ll be sure to check it out than.
Construction is currently scheduled to begin in December of 2018.
More than 15,000 jobs will be brought to Ohio from this investment.
I think it will be a different experience than the amusement parks in the state. No, it won’t beat them but it will provide lots of things to enjoy.
