Walt Disney World Vacation Day 2 Trip Report! – July 11th, 2018

Day 2 for my Walt Disney World Vacation 2018 had lots of plans that were definitely altered a lot.

First off, the original Chef Mickey reservation for 8:00 a.m. was changed to 11:30 a.m. It was changed due to how early we would have to get up for it.

I had something small to eat, one chocolate and one glazed donut and then headed for the Magic Kingdom bus! The bus came quickly and that was good news.

Once I got to the park I took the monorail to the Contemporary Resort where Chef Mickey’s is located!

Then I ate at Chef Mickey’s and had an awesome brunch! I had Mickey Waffles, Orange Juice, Water, Bacon, and Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream!

I took the monorail to the Polynesian Resort and then did some sightseeing things there and wanted to take the monorail back but it was having issues so I was unable to use that as transportation. But I used the boat to go to The Grand Floridian to look at it and then went to Magic Kingdom.

I rode Peter Pan’s Flight as my first FastPass+. After I saw Mickey’s PhilharMagic animation show! Since I arrived at the park after the time interval occurred, I went immediately to it and then after I went to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

After that we had to go to Guest Services because someone else in my family lost theirs on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train but got a replacement in the same color they originally got since ordered (for free)!

I visited the Carousel of Progress attraction which I always enjoy and it closed right after we finished, so I’m glad we saw it while we could (it eventually opened back up later).

Then I was going to ride Space Mountain with the FastPass+ that I moved from earlier in the day to the late afternoon (due to the Chef Mickey change) but it was closed.

I rode the Tomorrowland PeopleMover instead and got rare lights on footage of Space Mountain!

I got a reservation at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant for 6:50 p.m. since basically everyone in my family was hungry. I had still water and a mozzarella pizza with tomatoes and basil on top!

Then I rode the It’s a Small World attraction with a FastPass+ selection I picked up before dinner. Then I went to go ride Haunted Mansion and it didn’t have a horrible wait, just 20 minutes!

Finally, the Space Mountain opened back up and I was able to use the FastPass+ selection to get on the ride!

I got on the Tomorrowland Speedway with only a 20-minute wait (since the park was open until 1 a.m., it’s worth it completely)!

Overall I had a wonderful day and next, I’ll be in Epcot and Animal Kingdom!
