Since the holiday season is now in full swing with major holidays approaching, it is an appropriate time to look at the holiday theme park events.
There are many great holiday theme park events. This list will compile the Top 10 Holiday Theme Park Events in 2018!
To piece together the list, I researched which events were the most popular. Factors that determined the order include attendance, attractions, activities, atmosphere, food, shows, shops, guest feedback, other lists on the same subject.

Legoland celebrates the holiday season along with many other parks! They have a 30-foot tall LEGO Christmas tree. There are also many other activities and models built using LEGOS. It includes the opportunity of being able to meet a LEGO Santa and other LEGO figures for the holidays!
Kennywood is one of the parks in Pennsylvania to get decorated and be open during the holiday season! The park has over 2 million lights decorated during the event, “Holiday Lights”. Local choirs from the Pittsburgh area perform at the park. Opportunities include photos with Santa Claus, Gingerbread Express, The Polar Express (a 4-D experience), lights over the park’s lagoon.
Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida has an event, “Christmas Town”. The event is extremely popular and features many shows, lights, rides, and Santa. Carol of the Bells has coordinated lights to holiday music. The park has many other activities and attractions open too.
Dutch Winter Wonderland
Another Christmas Event in Lanncaster, Pennslyvania! The event is very popular for families! Many lights syncronized to music, 20 themed rides, attractions. In addition, young children have the opportunity to meet Santa at the park.
SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration
At SeaWorld Orlando, there are many colorful lights and trees! World-famous skaters travel to the park to perform, Santa visiting is at the park, shops, treats, and photo opportunities, as well as other attractions reside during the holiday season!
Kings Island has a huge crowd since the return of WinterFest in 2017! The park opens on Thanksgiving Weekend and activities include ice skating, holiday market, holiday treats, millions of lights, and a 314-foot tall Christmas tree surrounding the Eiffel Tower replica at the park. Many of the parks rides are open including 3 roller coasters!

Christmas is a spectacular time at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom! A celebration filled with Disney characters make the park very appealing! Lots of rides to experience, holiday treats, shows, food, experiences, and holiday lights make the park a great choice during the holidays!
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Many people visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg during the holiday to visit Christmas Town! Over 10 million lights are displayed at the park, making the place one of America’s greatest Christmas light displays ever. Festive food, drinks, holiday shows, visits with Santa, and other activities make it a fun place to visit for everyone!

Branson, Missouri is in for a treat at Silver Dollar City! 6.5 million colorful lights are displayed around the park during this holiday event! 5-story tall Christmas tree, Over 1000 other decorated trees around the park, holiday productions, and an illuminated parade make it a great place to visit during the Christmas season!
Smoky Mountain Christmas
Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is one of the most popular theme park holiday events! A spectacular light display awaits guests at the park. Live-stage performances, nightly light parade, delicious food, and many other activities and opportunities make it an amazing experience for visitors!
