Hi! My name is Brandon and I love roller coasters! I have loved them since I was 8 years old! I am going to tell you a little bit about me and then tell you how and why I created Coaster to Coaster! My home park is Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH, and I continue to visit the park multiple times a year! I love riding roller coasters when I go there and I also enjoy their HalloWeekends Halloween event that starts in mid-September! I was fortunate enough to get season passes in 2013 and I have had them since! I love roller coasters because it is a very exciting thrill in just a few minutes! Each one is different and unique and has its own elements which deliveries it’s own thrill to guests! Other than roller coasters, I like to write, watch YouTube videos, play the Piano and Trumpet, swim, read, and bike ride!
In May of 2017, I started a YouTube channel under my own first and last name At the time, I had a video editor, Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate, which I got for Christmas of 2016! I posted 1 video per week which was a vlog from my visit to Cedar Point that weekend, or footage from it! During this time, I wasn’t very good at video editing and I didn’t have a high-quality camera. I also had a blog where I wrote articles, but I still wasn’t very good at making a website and I didn’t know how to customize it and make it very fancy.
In June of 2017, I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL for a week after my school got out and I was going to post vlogs from my trip after, but then I decided to revamp my YouTube channel and I deleted my Blog which at the time was a lot of work and I didn’t have the time to do it! I then used the money I saved up to that time to buy the Nikon A900 and a green screen, stand, and studio lights! I also combined that with the APEMAN A60 Action Camera and Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate which I had already owned! The channel name, brandontotheparks lasted for a month! The videos weren’t really quality and I really wanted to make a successful brand! I took the YouTube Creator Academy, joined the Freedom! MCM Network and with them I get Epidemic Sound, Epoxy, Freedom! Academy, and more tools to help with my brand! I created a website and watched videos from the YouTube creator Pinnacle Studio Pro where I learned how to edit and practiced with the old brandontotheparks vlog footage! I also watched tutorials on how to use PicMonkey to edit thumbnails! I created a website and all of this took around 2 weeks! I was finally ready to start my brand and make it successful! I also had to come up with a name which is really hard for coaster related channels because a lot of names people have already thought of! I thought of Coaster to Coaster because I go from coaster to coaster at parks and I thought for people who like coasters it was a perfect name!
On July 29th, 2017, Coaster to Coaster started! I first posted a blog post and then a YouTube video and I have tons of blog posts and YouTube videos where normally 2-3 of each come out per week!
In September of 2017, I created a merch store for Coaster to Coaster and Haunt to Haunt which at the time wasn’t launched yet! I also learned how to use Fotor, a thumbnail editor because PicMonkey wasn’t free anymore. The latest thing I did is I changed the intro and outro of my YouTube videos for Haunt to Haunt! I created Haunt to Haunt as a series/season of Coaster to Coaster during the Halloween season! I thought of the name because if you go to many haunts (which are what people call places you get scared or a haunted maze)! I also made a Haunt to Haunt logo! I changed the backgrounds for my website, YouTube channel, and Twitter with a Haunt to Haunt logo on them with a Halloween background! The most recent thing I did is that I updated this website and worked on the layout of it!
Coaster to Coaster has been so amazing from when the 2017 year comes to a close! It will mark 5 months of this project on December 29th, 2017! Thank you to everyone who has and continues to support this project by buying merch, subscribing to my YouTube channel, following me on Instagram & Twitter, and following my blog! I hope you enjoy Coaster to Coaster as the journey on this project continues as much as I will! Here’s to another year of Coaster to Coaster!
