Hi, I’m Brandon! I have been a roller coaster enthusiast since I was 8-years old, after riding my first roller coaster at the young age of only 3-years old! My home park is Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio! I have such an amazing park pretty close to my home with amazing sights, sounds, and fun!

My roller coaster passion all started at the age of 7. I visited Cedar Point 2 times that season and I absolutely loved it! I had visited the park before, but, I was finally able to ride some of the roller coasters. I’m glad that I got to ride Disaster Transport and Wildcat that year (they closed during the season). I loved Disaster Transport, it was my favorite roller coaster because I hadn’t ridden many. I rode it on the final operating day of its lifetime.

After the season ended, I started doing research, especially on Cedar Point’s new roller coaster GateKeeper! I also looked up other amusement/theme parks and learned things about them. I would make tons and tons of PowerPoints and reports (some up to 200 slides or 40 pages — which is crazy at age 7!) That just shows my dedication right there at a young age.

The next year I got season passes to Cedar Point and visited the park almost every weekend! I looked forward to it especially during the school year in September and October!

I did more and more research and finally determined after the 2013 season that I was a coaster enthusiast. I watched the popular channels on YouTube — Theme Park Review, Coaster Studios, TheCoasterViews, etc. I remember loving content that wasn’t POV’s though, because it was unique; which is the reason Coaster Studios was my favorite YouTube channel at the time.

The thing that I love most about roller coasters is the thrill and adrenaline you get from riding each for a few short minutes! Each ride experience is unique and delivers it’s own elements and thrill to guests!

I love that amusement parks are all unique and different, giving a different experience at each one you visit, making a visit something to look forward too!

The thing that I love most about being part of the coaster community is that it is a journey — lots of things are happening including opinions and negativity, but the thing everyone has in common and that makes everyone stay together is that we all love roller coasters!

I started getting interested in filming and photography/videography! I practiced with lots of video makers and sent them to family and friends for feedback. After almost 3 years of that, I decided it was time to share what I know with the world! In 2016, I created CoasterTube. I just made blog posts and attempted to start a YouTube channel — which failed.

At the beginning of 2017, I joined Instagram and then decided to create a YouTube channel. I created content from my visits to amusement and theme parks.

Then in July 2017, I changed my channel name to Coaster to Coaster and created a logo. I never really reveal how my logo comes together and the “inspiration behind it”. It shows two roller coasters each on one side of the photo and the letters “CTC” in the middle. The green background box behind the letters connects each roller coaster. The idea is you are going from Coaster to Coaster. I look at it as you are on Diamondback and then jumping off to Mystic Timbers. Some look at it as you walk across the letters to get from ride to ride. But, it does actually relate to the purpose of my content.

My content is created to bring together the ideas of the general public, coaster enthusiasts, and people afraid of roller coasters. I want all to be considered and welcomed into the coaster community. I want my content to relate to everyone in some way, shape, or form.

In my free time, I love to make videos and blog posts (obviously)! I am frequently active on social media! I love to play the Piano and Trumpet, read, swim, watch television, and many other activities that keep me busy. Homework and school also keep me extremely busy.

I am also part of the Great Ohio Coaster Club, an organization that celebrates the excitement of roller coasters, through events during the year at local parks near Ohio!

I also created Haunt to Haunt with Coaster to Coaster in September of 2017, where I celebrate Halloween! I absolutely love Halloween and love the events parks do with it! I post videos and such relating to the season and have a special logo that integrates with the regular Coaster to Coaster logo.

Coaster to Coaster Events

Below is a timeline of events that occur to change or improve Coaster to Coaster! When I say that I work hard on my content, I mean it! I am always working to improve!

May 2017

In May of 2017, I started a YouTube channel under my own personal name. At the time, I had a video editor, Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate, which I got for Christmas in 2016! I posted 1 video per week which was a vlog from my visit to Cedar Point that weekend or just footage from it! During this time, I wasn’t very good at video editing and I didn’t have a high-quality camera. I also had a blog where I wrote articles, but I still wasn’t very good at making a website and I didn’t know how to customize it and make it very fancy. I also wasn’t the best at the style of how to write a blog. I like informal-style blog posts but not grammatically incorrect blog posts.

June 2017

In June of 2017, I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL for a week after my school got out and I was going to post vlogs from my trip after, but then I decided to revamp my YouTube channel and I deleted my Blog which at the time was a lot of work and I didn’t have the time to do it. I then used the money I saved up to that time to buy the Nikon A900, a green screen, tripod, and studio lights! I also combined that with the APEMAN A60 Action Camera and Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate which I had already owned! My channel name, brandontotheparks lasted for a month. The videos weren’t really quality and I really wanted to make a successful brand. I watched tutorials on YouTube. I created a website and all of this took around 2 weeks. I was finally ready to start my brand and make it successful! I also had to come up with a name before I created the website which is really hard for coaster related brands because a lot of names people have already thought of. I thought of Coaster to Coaster because people (including me!) go from coaster to coaster at parks and I thought for people who like coasters it was a perfect name! Especially since it gives you the impression of riding multiple coasters to collect coaster credits! That is now what my channel is all about and has formed about. Other stems and ideas have come from it, but essentially this is what everything was built and surrounded around.

Coaster to Coaster

July 2017

On July 29th, 2017, Coaster to Coaster launched! I first posted a blog post and then a YouTube video in late July, which was the beginning!

September 2017

In September of 2017, I created a store for Coaster to Coaster to sell merchandise. I also created Haunt to Haunt! With the same name idea as Coaster to Coaster, it is to share the excitement and experiences during the Halloween season at amusement parks! I thought it would be cool to make an entire series on it and rebrand my content and social platforms for it! All branding was changed except the name Coaster to Coaster and logo were still present, as the Haunt to Haunt logo could be seen in the banners. (Note: Read the September 2018 section to see the changes for Haunt to Haunt Season 2!)

February 2018

In February of 2018, I started to work harder on my content itself. I changed my upload schedule to something I could upkeep and not lose the quality of the content being produced. I worked on planning my videos effectively so that I am prepared when I film. I also worked on learning advanced editing to make my videos even better.

March 2018

I have a new technique for my vlogs which I tried during my Spring Break trip at Carowinds and I changed all branding again for the next couple of months!

May 2018

A huge month for Coaster to Coaster! I discontinued a few series and deleted all the videos from them and deleted videos I no longer want on my channel. I created new videos for the channel, planned future videos, and I updated all platforms and content for Coaster to Coaster!

July 2018

A big month for Coaster to Coaster! I took a few week break and didn’t really post much content so I could work on the new series and content! I teased that soon (August) big channel changes were coming. This was referring to the content itself. I really worked hard on the content before I published it to make my channel really good. This was a big change that will improve my channel a lot! I also created a special YouTube video and blog post celebrating the 1 Year Anniversary of each and Coaster to Coaster as a whole!

September 2018

I worked and planned new content ideas for Haunt to Haunt! I also created a new logo so I could actually change the logo of my social platforms but the background still had the Coaster to Coaster logo! I kept working on improving my content as a whole! I also worked on making Haunt to Haunt more professional as I like that style better for videos!

November 2018

I worked on redesigning my website completely and making the descriptions better! I also made navigation easier with making multiple areas of the website allowing you to do the same things, keeping everything connected! Changed the branding back from Haunt to Haunt and just overall made lots of improvements.
